My personal golden rule: if there’s a choice of dates, opt for Gemini season travel. These trips should be short and local (like a cabin getaway), near the desert or forest, or generally free-spirited in nature. Because I’m Chicago-based, I’ve twice visited the Barber Creek, MI outpost (and soon the newest outpost at Starved Rock!).

Aries Sun / Aries Rising
Your ideal travel times are from March 21 to April 20, and from November 22 to Dec 21—not that fiery Aries need any excuse to take a spontaneous trip.
Worldly and expansive Jupiter stays in Aries until May 16, inspiring you to broaden your horizons during the first half of 2023. When the sun enters your sign of Aries on March 21, you crave solo adventure (after all, it’s what you do best).
If you’re a trailblazing Aries Rising, then Sagittarius rules over your ninth house of travel. Sagittarius season (Nov 22-Dec 21) inspires you to book international travel, while the spring is perfect for an outdoorsy cabin weekend.
Taurus Sun / Taurus Rising
Taurus, you’re a creature of habit. Because you prefer comfortable and lowkey travel, plan a trip during next year’s built-in holiday breaks, especially during the wintertime. The less abrupt the better.
Lucky Jupiter enters Taurus on May 16, stirring you to plan a summer “out of office.”

During Gemini season (May 21-June 21), you instinctively crawl back into your shell. There’s truly no better time than this for a cozy Getaway retreat. Consider this period a “hibernation” before a buzzing and busy Cancer season.
If you’re a Cancer Rising, then Gemini rules over your twelfth house of subconscious, spirituality, healing, and endings. As you transition from spring to summer, a nature-filled, sentimental cabin weekend supports you in closing old chapters and inviting the next to unfold.
Leo Sun / Leo Rising

Otherwise, travel during Gemini season (May 21-June 21) to embody a go-with-the-flow free spirit.
Virgo Risings, are you ready for the travel bug? Jupiter enters Taurus on May 16, where it stays for the rest of 2023. Taurus rules over your ninth house of travel. Rather than feel rushed, you prefer to settle into new spaces—no matter where in the world you are. So, reserve “bigger” trips during this lucky Jupiter transit.
Libra Sun / Libra Rising
Libras are social creatures. Plan a trip with friends when your social levels peak (July 22-Aug 23). If you’re envisioning a romantic cabin getaway, travel while the sun and Venus move through Aquarius (Jan 20-Feb 18).

Sagittarius Sun / Sagittarius Rising
Although Sagittarians would travel every month if they could, unique trips during Libra season (Sept 23-Oct 22) and Sagittarius season (Nov 22-Dec 21) hit different. The more surprising and unexpected a chosen travel time, the more therapeutic for Sags.
If you’re a Sagittarius Rising, then Leo rules over your ninth house of international travel, and Aquarius rules over your third house of local travel. So, while Leo season (July 22-Aug 23) inspires international travel, a local getaway is best experienced while the sun and Venus transit Aquarius (Jan 2-Feb 18).
Capricorn Sun / Capricorn Rising
Capricorns should reserve bigger trips until after Oct 10, when Pluto finally stations direct after spinning retrograde in Capricorn since Jan 8. While that might sound like a while away, there’s ample time to organize travel details.
A short, local trip provides a sweet escape at the end of summer. Mars enters Virgo on July 10, urging you to organize and take action on travel plans during Virgo season (Aug 23-Sept 22).
Aquarius Sun / Aquarius Rising
Funky and independent Aquarians appreciate unique travel times or destinations. Travel during Libra season (Sept 23-Oct 22) or Aquarius season (Jan 20-Feb 18) to channel these air signs’ free-spirited and eccentric vibe.
If you’re an Aquarius Rising, Gemini rules over your fifth house of creativity and romance. When Venus enters Gemini (April 11-May 6), you’re pleasure-seeking, indulgent, whimsical, and artistic.
